- The mythical unicorn is a
figure often. inhabiting the
canvases of.oil painter Diana
Crymble, whose show opens
at the gallery of the North
Vancouver city hall,
November 4, 1981.

Her interest in unicorns
started when she was young
and since then she has
dicovered that
cultures. .all around the
world, including the early
Chinese, have made mention
of them. :

Her romantic pictures are
in an Expressionistic style,

her colours, while soft and
muted, are rich and flowing.
Not all of the 24 pictures in
the show contain unicorns,
some have flowers, some are
abstract, and some are of
cats and landscapes. A
feature of the show will be a
large triptych which is just
being completed.

Diana, a West Vancouver
resident and member of the
Federation of. Canadian
artists has had a ohe woman
show at Guppy's ‘and has
been in group shows. At
two. New York
