Singers give concert A

STUDENTS from all over B.C.
took part in the B.C. Milk Run,
an annual fund-raising event,
Wednesday. At Windsor Sec-
ondary School students col-
lected $12,600 in pledges to be
shared equally between Rick
Hansen’s Man In Motion Tour,
African famine relief and the
Vancouver Children’s Hospital.

HOSTS ARE needed this summer
for visiting Japanese students.

Cultural Homestay Institute, a
non-profit intercultural exchange
program, will be bringing 15 Jap-
anese students, aged 15 to 18
years, to North and West Van-
couver. this summer between
August 1 and 31.

The students will visit the North
Shore to improve their conversa-
tional English and learn about Ca-
nadian culture.

English as a second language
will be taught at West Vancouver
Secondary. School. Students will

., also take trips and will participate
in a cultural exchange afternoon,
where members of the community
and the hosting famiiies will be in-
vited to share ideas, songs, crafts
