held at Cape Breton, Nova
Scotia, in July 13 Lions area ~
Girl Guides. (Pemberton. to
Deep Cove) recently spent a
weekend at the UBC Forestry |
Research Centre in Haney.

Incuded in. the weekend
events were a comparison of
B.C. and Nova Scotia ecol-
‘ogy, flag etiquetie, _tent-
patching, self-awareness,
and organization. —

However, music was the
-main emphasis. of the visit,
preparing the songs for the
international camp.

‘Nine girls will be attending
the July camp and six
alternates are standing by.

grant their support, Morris
will soon have the Oil
Skimmer in production.

But if success proves to be
some time off in the future,
his son-in-law may well have
a new boarder in the house.

Not that time is likely to
hang heavily on the inven-
tor’s hands. Morris makes a
hobby of miniature trains
and when he is-not working
on ways to prevent and clean
up oil spills, he is busy
building a working steam
locomotive for a five-inch
gauge track.

stallations in apartment
