BRIEF Razz tracks N. Van men TWO NORTH Vancouver men were arrested by West Vancouver Police following a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occur- red just before 3 a.m. on June 17 near Capilano Road and Welch Street. The hit and run victim had managed to block the escape of the suspect vehicle. BC Rail Police arrived at the scene and called for backup from West Vancouver Police. But by the time West Vancouver Police arrived, four suspects had fled the scene on foot and escaped into a nearby bush area. Police dog Razz was called in to track the suspects. Razz tracked approximately 150 feet into a heavy bush area overgrown with brambles and found one man. The dog was ordered to track again and found a second suspect hiding in the same bush grea. The two men arrested suffered dog-bite injuries and were ad- vised to obtain tetanus shots as soon as possible. Two other suspects got away. Joel David Bremner, 19, faces charges of breach of recognizance and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. Christopher Charles Arnold, 18, faces charges of impaired driving and failure to stop ai the scene of an accident. Meanwhile, Bremner also faces a narcotics trafficking charge, as the result of of an incident earlier this year. A bench warrant had been issued for his asrest for failing to attend a scheduled court date. Man jailed for theft A 55-YEAR-OLD Surrey man was sentenced to six months in jail on charges of mischief and theft under $1,000 after appearing recently in West Vancouver provincial court. Robert Saxon Moore pleaded guilty to prying open a car and stealing a purse on June 14 in West Vancouver.
