It is the responsibility of the host to make sure guests do not drink and drive. {t's a good idea for the host to remain sober throughout the night. Try to have non-alcoholic bev- erages available. Don’t mix strong drinks and never try to force a drink on anyone. Keep an eye on your guests, especially those who are driving, and stop. serving alcohol at least one hour before the party’s end. If a guest becomes intoxicated, offer to call a cab or, provided you are sober, drive the guest home yourself. Booklets of taxi coupons will be sold until the end of the year and can be purchased at 7- Eleven stores. The coupons, containing five $3 vouchers, are part of a new anti- drinking/driving program spon- sored by the Insurance Corpora- tion of B.C. which encourages people caught without cash to avoid driving if they've been drinking.
