Christmas celebrated at NV

CLASSIC SEASONAL stories,
traditional music and _ suggested
gifts of reading are the highlights
of Christmas celebrations in North
Vancouver District libraries during
December.

The Classics of Christmas will
be the theme of displays at the
Lynn Valley branch, 1280 E. 27th
St. Books, music and movies that
have come to be_ perennial
favorites will be featured.

Christmas crafts program for ages
six to 12 will be held the following
Monday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m.
Children are asked to preregister.

The last regular afternoon
storytime at 2 p.m. on Wednesday,
Dec. 21 will be a special hour-long
session for three to five year olds,
with crafts and treats.

Seycove Branch, 1204 Caledonia
Ave., has a Candy Cane Corner
storytime on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at
10:30 a.m. Children aged three to
five are invited to join Santa’s

libraries

elves for puppetry, stories, songs
and a visit from St. Nick himself.
On Thursday, Dec. 8 at 10:15 a.m.
preschoolers can celebrate Happy
Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of
the lights, in story and song with
appropriate goodies.
