allroom dance for Rick

A BALLROOM dance to raise funds for Rick Hansen
will be hosted by the North Vancouver Recreation
Centre Baliroom Dance Club on May 2.

**Music by disc jockey Les Sinnott will lead dancers
into the waltz, quickstep, rhumba, cha-cha and
more,” said John Mullan, programmer at the centre.
“And as tradition dictates, there will be mixers, spot
dances, door prizes and a floor show by the 23rd St.

Tappers.”’ . :
The event will take place Saturday, May 2 from 8

p.m, to midnight at the Mickey McDougall Gym-
nasium.

The dance has been held twice before and close to
300 participants are expected. Hors d’oeuvres will be
served and refreshments will be available.
