Twas The Weeks Before Christmas

Twas the weeks before Christmas and all thru the hall, not a fireman was stirring there wasn’t a call.
All of a sudden from outside the front door, a sudden darkness appeared (that’s on the main floor).
They threw open thar windows and gazed with delight, across the quict street at all the neat lights.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear, but che dumb recognition of their own Xmas gear.
The sounds of mirth came flowing from the staff across the street at the moment that those guys thought
they couldn’t be beat. Merry Xmas Ho ho ho

THE new RCMP building on 14th Street briefly turned into a doughnut shop on
the weekend thanks to the festive handiwork of a prankster.

RIVALRY between the
North Vancouver
RCMP and the North
Vancouver City Fire
Department flared up
last week.

The occasional jeering
remark ‘had been heard
between the’ offices facing
each other across. East 13th
Street. Matiers escalated.

RCMP Insp. Gord McRae
said he thinks police envy of
Christmas decorations in front

ed it all.

On Wednesday night last
week, Santa Claus and his
reindcer, some giant presents,
five floodlights and 10 to 15
strings of lights mysteriously
left their focation in front of
the firehall to cross the street
to shine on the offices of the
RCMP.

“1 think the fire depart-
ment might suspect we did
it,” said McRae.

A poem was posted on the

“They must have been
tippy-tocing around out
there,” said Fire Chief Tom
Cumming, when asked why
the staff in the hall overnight
didn’t hear anything. He said
