Sears president
retires

The president of Sears Canada.
Joseph Reddinyton, accepted an
early retirement package and left
the Toronto-based Sears-Cunada
Inc. after Christmas.

Reddington was replaced by
Donald Shaffer. who joined the
company last May.

[tis hoped that Shaffer will
bring some fresh ideas to the com-
pany to enable it to have the same
kind of success us the company has
recently had in the U.S.
