Drivers should learn to slow down

Dear Editor:

Pm writing this fetter for a
number of reasons. First of all,
my cat was hit and killed by a car
on Deep Cove Road in North
Vancouver.

lt happened two months ago
and I'm still upset and I miss her
very much.

t imagine the car was speeding,
like most other cars on this road.
it appals me that if someone hits
an animal, that they don’t have
enough decency to stop.

I would like to thank the girls
who were passing by when this
happened and stopped and
notified my neigbors.

It’s not just the loss of my cat
that bothers me, but that it could
have been a child that was hit,
and I understand that a girl last
year was hit along this same road.

People should learn to slow
down in residential areas.
