WV restaurant expansion okayed AN EXPANSION of Capzer’s restaurant at their Dunadarave store location has been approved by West Vancouver District Council. Council voted Sept. 11 to give Capers the development permit necessary to proceed with an expansion of their restaurant facility despite the limited on-site parking. With the store’s recent addition of a 500 square-foot bakery at the rear of the buiiding coupled with the proposed 320 square-foot restaurant addition and new exterior deck, Caper’s does not have the requisite on-site parking stalls. But planuing assistant Janet Lee recommended approval on the basis that the expansion is deemed relatively sainer and that park- ing facilities have improved in Dundarave as a result of last year’s revitalization efforts. Ald. Pat Boname expressed some concerns with the effect the expansion would have on shopping hours in Dundarave. 5 ~ Friday, September 29, 1989 - North Shore ww Emergency food proves to he a chailenge From page 4 The reception centres are set up to provide essential community support services in condensed form. Said Reinhard: ‘‘I know most of the area and maybe they (ESS) think I have enough expertise to start some people off if necessary. If I have to I can produce myself. But in case of an emergency, you would not try to do everything yourself, You try to take advan- tage of the facilities in the area.
