Christmas will soon be here. And whether they’re naughty
or nice they’ll probably all be receiving presents, and that

means a lot of thinking.
While many shoppers will be in
a flap over what to buy friends and

To start, think about a person’s
hobbies or interests. Ron Hjorth,
general ‘manager of North Van-
couver’s Hogarth’s Sport and Ski
shop, says that ski equipment and
accessories make great Christmas
presents and are the perfect way to
break in the season.

matching their boots and skis to go

year is on film.

There’s a whole range of point
and shoot cameras on the market,
great gifts for beginners, says Lens
and Shutter.

The light-weight, easy to use
camera has the quality of the 35
millimeter camera but is simple to
use.

Even the more serious
photographers are investing in
automatic single reflex cameras,
which allow more control than the
point and shoots but have the same
automatic features: automatic ex-
posure, loading, focus, and re-
wind.

An eight millimeter camcorder is
great for the traveiler. The device
is an excellent way to record a
vacation or the holiday season.

Another way to remember the
holidays is with a new super VHS
VCR machine. Treat yourself or a
relative to a VCR. The super VHS
has more lines resulting in higher
resolution than other VCRs, says

For friends who prefer music at
Christmas, a compact disc player
