SHORE CUP ACTION Lynn Valley dominates ORANGE AND black dominated the scene at Ambleside last weekend, as Lynn Valley Soccer Assoc. teams competed in every boys’ division and four girls’ divisions in the North Shore Provincial Cup Finals. | U-11 Boys Metro Gerela’s and Joanne Marleau’s Lynn Valley Falcons (former. Dockers) dominated with a 9-1 win over the Mt. Seymour Royals. U-12 Boys Danny Jensen’s and Harry Short’s Lynn Valiey Falcons had their hands full with the W.V. Spuraways, being down i goal with very little time remaining, but rallied in the dying minutes to score 2 goals for a 3-2 victory. U-13 Boys John Dailly’s and Larry Hayes-Richards’ Lynn Valley Falcons, two time Provincial Cup Champions, had little trouble downing the W.V. Spuraways 7-0. U-14 Boys Jess Mulock’s and Jim Bar- bieri’s Lynn Valley Falcons lost a 2-1 squeaker to the W.V. Spuraways in a very even match that could have gone either:way. U-15 Boys... Gordy Simpson’s and Joanne Bland’s Lynn Valley Falcons played with a lot of heart and hustle to defeat the MacS- ween Highlanders 2-1. U-16 Boys Mike Hooper’s and Jay McPherson’s Lynn Valley Falcons, the defending Pro- vincial Cup Champions, were up 3-0 &t the half, when the W.V. Spuraways rallied and scored two goals to make it a very interesting second half which finished with a 3-2 win for the Falcons. U-18 Boys George Gray’s. and Ella Slater’s L.V. M.G. Builders maintained a strong effort throughout the game and defeated the N.V.U. team U-11 Girls Marie Palmer’s and Grace Huberty’s Lynn Valley Don Davis Hawks were the victors, in an exciting 2-1 win over the MacSween Highlanders. U-13 Girls John Palmer’s and Maria Roliheimer’s. Lynn Valley Skyline Falcons successfully defeated the W.V. Tigers 2-1. U-15 Girls Frank Pupp’s and John Gar- dinér’s Lynn Valley Renegades swept to a 8-0 vic- tory over the Mt. Seymour Panthers. U-16 Girls Lynn Baker’s and Stuart Coates’ Lynn Valley Don Davis Hawks played into overtime to defeat MacSween **The Swarm’’4-3. Intermediate soccer action IT WILL BE Shoppers Drug Mart against Western Realty Spurs in the Cup final of In- termediate Soccer Association. The two teams earned their way into the finals after semi- final action on the weekend saw Shoppers take a comfor- table 3-1 victory over West Van Rangers while Spurs and Wanderers had to go through nine penalty kicks following the regular game and over- time before Spurs won out. Date and time for the final has not yet been determined. In regular league play, West Van Kokanee took a close 2-1 win over Capilano to hold down first place in division one, just One point ahead of Capilano.
