Keres, werc called the other
evening to Beacon Hill
Lodge, the West Van
seniors’ home, where an -
elderly woman had gone
missing.

Tokiko Nishikawara,
believed to be about 90, had
wandered away two hours.
earlier and there were fears
she might have come to
some harm.

who. was given the woman's
scent, first searched the
perimeter of the building,
then combed the _ dark,
lonely bank of the Capilano,
but with no success.

Finally, Keres decided to
try the Clyde Avenue area
east of Taylor Way. Sud-
denly, “Kie” stopped before
the entrance to an un-
derground parking lot at 545
Clyde. sniffed, barked once
and entered the lot at a run.

Fifty feet inside Keres
' found “Kie” standing happily
beside the lost. -woman,
_ making-no attempt. to harm
her. Cold and confused, but
otherwise in good shape, she
was escorted back to the
