COTTRELL AND the North Shore News faced off Friday in a battle of unbeaten teams and when the ice cleared, Cottrell was the clear victor. Cottrell defeated the News 6-0 in the North Mancouver Intermediate Recreation Hockey League game. The six goals were the first ever scored against the News in the - still-young season —— in both previous games they shut out their opponents by wide margins. Jerry Hack posted the shutout for Cottrell, and Dave Watson led the scoring with a hat trick. Ed O'Leary accounted for two of the other goals, and Brawdt Carrol rounded out the scoring. In the other game Friday, Larry's devastated Hollyburn 13-2, while on Saturday the Canadians edged Metro 5-4. Cottrell puts its streak on the line Saturday, November 7, when it faces the un- predictable Larry's Sport Shop. Other games next weekend include the Canadians against Hollyburn and the North Shore News against Metro.
