heavy conversation with West
Van's Jane McAuley, who was in a
sexy black wrap dress. Jane has
just opened her new image con-
sultancy business in Dundarave,
called, very appropriately, ‘’Or-
dinary to Extraordinary!”’...

Two other happy West Vanners
were First Night producers Faye
McMyn and Gerry Altman, who
had been working on the giant
entertainment spectacular for the
past several months.

This year they expanded to
Brentwood Mall, Gabriola Island

and Duncan with giant fireworks
displays organized by Ray Green-
wood’s Pyrodine Company. Next
year, First Night will also be held
in Victoria, Calgary, Saskatoon and
Halifax! But when will it come to
the North Shore, hmmm...

My show business scoop is that
Hollywood's glamorous blonde
star of the soap opera
“Dynasty,” Linda Evans, slipped
inte town very quietly last week
for a few days of vacation.

She began with a very quiet
dinner at John Bishop’s Restaurant
on West 4th Ave. where everyone
knew who she was but nobody
bothered her or her friend, Sam
Schwartz. Sam is a Los Angeles
producer who's currently living in
Vancouver, and it’s he who con-
sistently brings celebrities, like
Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson, to
our leading restaurants.

According to John Bishop, Linda
Evans is far more beautiful in the
flesh, so to speak, than she is on
the small screen! You'll probably
get a chance to see for yourself
when you spot her shopping in
Park Royal, or skiing at Whistler...
