IF YOU'VE ever been lost while cycling, you might
want to look into the Vancouver bicycle map,

Through the efforts of the Bicycle Advisory Com-
mittee at Vancouver’s City Hall, the Vancouver Bicy-
cle Club and the Bicycling Association of B.C., the
original idea for such a map was developed in 1980
with the first map being published in 1982.

The 1986 edition of the map has changed somewhat
in format, taking on the standard map size. The
qualities that make this map invaluable and unique
for the commuting and recreational cyclist remain the
same.

Each street has been graded according to traffic
flow, illustrating graphically which routes are easier
for cyclists, and where the major hills and difficult in-
tersections are located.

Information on al} Vancouver bridges is also in-
cluded.

Published by the Bicycling Association of B.C.,
map is an essential tool for cyclists.

The Vancouver Bicycle Map is available from the
Bicycling Association of B.C. office at 1200 Hornby
St., most 7-Eleven outlets and other locations
throughout the city.

NORTH VANCOUVER’S Lions Gate under-11 boys’ soccer team
Opened season play recently with a 4-3 win over the West Vancouver
Spuraways.

The Capilano squad battled back in the second half of the tense
match to record the victory, the first of three straight.

Lions Gate followed its win over the Spuraways with 7-1 and 6-3
league victories.

Coached by Mario Campomar and Sunil Ray, the team won its
division in the Langley Invitational Tournament held on Labour Day.
