Len and Helen, both born in
Vancouver, were married on
Sept. 7, 1940, moving inte their
newly completed home in west
Point Grey. The moved to Véest
Vancouver in 1948 where their
two children, Dawne and Roger,
attended West Van schools and
then UBC. They have nine cher-
ished grandchildren and will be
celebrating this happy occasion-
with ali their family and friends in
the gardens of Park Royal Hotei.

celebrated tneir 60th wedding
anniversary on August 7th. Mr.
Chard served as organist and
choir director of Chalmers
United Church, Vancouver, for
47 years and from 1965 until
recently taught piano, organ,
voice and theory in his Highland
Drive studio. He is past presi-
dent of the Vancouver Ceniral
Lions Club and Margaret has
been the executive of the
Vancouver Lions Ladies’ Club for
over 40 years. They are now
enjoying retirement in their
waterfront condominium.

Australia. They were married

where Dan was attendng art col-
lege. Sue and Dan have worked
on the North Shore with Pacific
Crest and Thread since 1978.
Their daughter Katrina, family

Robert and Marjorie were mar-
ried in Newcastle Upon Tyne,
England on Sept. 2, 1950 and
are longtime residents of North
Vancouver. They have four chil-
dren — Carol, Stewart, Frances
and James and are proud grand-
parents of Michael and Sarah.
The couple will celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary with
family before their departure to
England and Inverness,
Scotland for a second honey-
moon.

their ruby anniversary after living
in Vancouver for 42 years and on
the North Shore for 23 years.

time their son and daughter-in-

Ken and Linda lived on the North
Shore for 19 of their 25 years
together and now reside in

Konrad and Christine (née

Renner) were married. Sept. 3, -

1960 in the Lutheran Church of
St. Catherines, Ont. The couple
left the day after the wedding to
come to UBC for further studies.
In 1985 they moved to their pre-
sent home in West Vancouver
where they raised Kevin (Vesna)
and Karen (Keith) Kirkwood.
They have three grandsons:
Stefan, Josef and Kyle. The fam-
ily will celebrate with a cruise
later in the fall.
