Lottery Corporation worth thousands of dollars. North Vancouver resident Peter Roman is $21,000 rich- er after trying his luck on a $1 Blackjack Scratch & Win tick- et. The 40-vear-old father of two could not believe his eyes when he uncovered his big win. “I was pretty amazed,” said Roman, “This is neat.” He purchased his ticket at North Vancouver Mohawk on West 3rd Street. | Meanwhile, another North Vancouver resident, Luella O’Brien, collecced a cool $10,000 on a_ Lucky Horseshoe ticket. When the 59-year-old food demonstra- tor played her ticket, she real- ly didn’t know what to expect. “There were so many zeros on the ticker thar E had to check it a couple of times,” said O'Brien, “This is the first big prize I’ve ever won!” Home repairs are now in her future. Her winning ticket was bought at Panorama Market. Two West Vancouver resi- dents, Ben Williams and Alexander Cotter, also joined the winners’ circle when they cach won $10,000 instantly. Williams, a 19-year-old cook at the Horseshoe Bay Boat House, played a $1 Bullseye ticket, while Cotter, a retired 67-year-old — merchandising manager, tried a $1 Gold Rush ticket. Coincidentally, both are considering travel plans with their prize.
