28 - Friday, November 8, 1991 - North Shore News YMCA sponsoring osteoporosis lecture THE WEST Vancouver YMCA and Dr. Rodney Glynn-Morris are hosting two free morning lec- tures on the topic of Osteoporosis on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Both lectures are designed to provide the public with informa- tion about the latest medical ad- vances, prevention and treatment of the disease. Interested participants are asked to pre-register for either the 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. meeting. Both lectures will be conducted at the North Shore YMCA, which is located at 1735 Inglewood Ave. in West Vancouver. An April 1991 North Shore News survey of 480 residents in- dicates that 50.9% were currently composting yard and kitchen wastes.
