Joseph (Joe) Baker of North Vancouver.
age 82 years. Predeceased by his wives,
Christine (Cook) and Anne (Brotchie);
Bill, Robert, Dan and six other brothers.
Survived by his loving family, one
brother Simon Baker: two sisters, trene
Toman and Amy Quitell; by sons Robert,
Richard, Gerald, Joseph jr. and Willred;
six daughters, Betty Campbell, Gwen
Harry, Gloria Thomas, Irene Bolton,
Diane Baker and Carol Brown: 44
grandchildren and 44 — great-grand-
childsen, and many tnends and rela-
tives. Joe was a Founder and President
of Junior B Lacrosse. Ris great joy was
attending games. Also a Co-founder of
the Capitano Indian Community Club
and Pow Wow. Joe attended Lytton Res-
idential School in the 1920's. He was
also a Jogger, a fisherman and a
tfongshoreman for 40 years. During war
time he worked in the Burrard Shipyard.
Prayers will be held in the Capilano
Longhouse, Sunday, September 22 at
7pm, followed by funeral mass Monday,
September 23 at 10:30 am in St. Paul's
Catholic Church, North Vancouver. Fa-
ther Dennis Alexander 0.M.1. celebrant.
Interment Capitano Indian Cemetery. For

ter-in-law of Esther Dalgarno and the

Andrew's and St. Stephen's Presbyterian
Church, North Vancouver on Wednesday,
September 25 at 11:00 a.m. Interment
North Vancouver.

67. She is survived by her husband J.
