Grow plants from seed

EACH SEED catalogue takes a
different. approach to presenting
cultural information, and at least
two provide excellent detail on the
suggested approximate — starting
dates for seeds.

Some of the companies, on the
other hand, give this information
on their seed packets.

The seed catalogues do not just
list seeds — they are also one of

about the seed starting medium is

in a conventional oven and heating

soil, using the newer microwave
ovens is to place the damp sand in
a loosely covered microwave-safe
bowl, One kilo (2.2 Ib.) of damp
medium should be microwaved for
three to five minutes on high. Be
