of 2, Linea and Helen Zheng for
Rochiea Fashions.

Zheng organized this trade mis-
sion between the owe counties,
intending to secure a firm trade
relationship and provide exposure
for designers,

Over 80 professional madets
from Vancouver auditioned for
the touring show which svlected
only 12 runway models to accom-
pany the ready-to-wear —collec-
tions. All models are caucasian
except for Mona Tse who is the
reigning Second Princess Miss
Vanvouver Chinatown '93,

Though the designers themselves
are not travelling with their lines,
Vancouver production manager
and coordinator Brenda Wong is
organizing the ramp-styled shows
in China, The event hit the city of
Beijing on June 7 and is continu-
ing until July 12.

Clothes ranging from evening
wear to acrobics gear are being
presented to a Chinese audience in
both moderate and high-end price
groupings. Styles for both summer
and fall '93 are highlighted in the
varied collections.
