Although there may be pressure to upzone this, the northeast cor- ner of West Vancouver’s busiest intersection at Taylor Way and Marine Drive, Mayor Don Lan- skail has stated that ine municipality would be ‘‘very much opposed to any new kind of devel- opment on this parcel.’’ He said this in a letter replying to a complaint from West Van- couver resident Tor Bengston, re- garding the overgrown state of the property since the gas station that operated there closed down and was boarded up several years ago. According to district planner Steve Nicholls, the property has languished because of the difficult access available at the corner and other problems associated with de- velopment.
