CHRISTMAS ISN’T just for kids. Sure, it’s the time for
Santa Claus and reindeer, elves, gingerbread houses and
gumdrop cookies. But it’s also a romantic time of year
which brings people closer together.

“Silk is very romantic. Silk ted-
dies, matching camisoles and pan-
ties are great gifts,’’ she says.

A popular item this year, says

And merry widows — corsets with
garters — are always popular.

briefs, or his and hers matching

Lingerie is definitely the thing to
take with you if you are planning
to surprise your loved one with a
package trip to romantic Hawaii or
Tahiti.

Park Royal’s P. Lawson Travel
suggests a one-week trip to balmy
Maui with accommodation in a
four-star hotel. Packages including
hotel and airfare are in the $1350
range and can be lower depending
on the island. Once you’re there,
relax with breakfast in bed or take
in a show.

For those who can’t afford a
trip, there are many inexpensive
romantic gifts to choose from,
