Heritage committee
nominees invited

TOURISM, RECREATION and
Culture Minister Bill Reid recently
invited nominees for an advisory
committee on cultural heritage that
will be created within 60 days.

“] would like all cultural com-
munities to participate in the for-
mation of this body and [ invite
them to, submit the names. of
possible members,” said Reid,
who is chairman of the Cabinet
Committee on Cultural Heritage.
“The format and scope of the ad-
visory committee will be. announc-
ed later.””

More than 60 different cultural
communities are represented in
British Columbia, while hundreds

The last advisory committee on
Cultural Heritage was established
in 1981.
