Held Saturday, June 6 at Van- couver’s Four Seasons Hotel, the banquet was the twenty-third since the company started the annual event in 1965 to thank employees who have worked at Jeast 25 years for the company or its affiliates in the forest industry. Over the years, a total of 1,246 long-service employees have been inducted into Canfor’s 25 Year Club. Among those in attendance were North Vancouver residents Hugh and Diane Johnstone and Peter and Doreen Wilkinson. Johnstone is western region general manager for Canfor's building materials division in Burnaby, while Wilkin- son works in the company’s Van- couver head office as chief logging accountant, coastal operations. Other new members came from across Canada, from as far afield as Montreal and High Level, in northern Alberta.
