Lecture series features fitness

A WEST Vancouver fitness centre
will feature a lecture series on
fitness, starting April 2.

Sue Hills Fitness will present a
three-part lecture Series on
understanding the roots of a phys-
ical disorder, so that the symptoms
can be more effectively managed.

On April 2 a physiotherapist,
will discuss back care.

On May 7 Judy Toews, a nutri-

the Vancouver Centennial Disar-
mament Symposium, April 24 to
26 at the Orpheum Theatre.

The symposium, largest ever of
its kind in North America, wil! br-
ing together the world’s foremost
experts on the military, economic,
social and political implications of
the nuclear arms race for three
days of discussion and debate.

At the symposium’s conclusion,
a private round-table session will
be held to further define the pro-
posals that have arisen from the
public discussions. Vancouver's
Peace Proposals will then be pres-
ented to U.S. President Ronald
Reagan, U.S.S.R. General Secre-
tary Mikhail Gorbachev, and the
other heads of the NATO and
Warsaw Pact countries.

The symposium was organized
by a committee struck in March
1985, chaired by Dr. Thomas
Perry of Physicians for Socia! Re-
sponsibility, B.C. Chapter.

Five-session symposium passes
are 336 adults, $21 seniors, stu-
dents, unemployed. Single session
admission is $9 adults or $6
seniors, students, unemployed.

Tickets are available at all
VTC/CBO outlets, Eatons and
Woodwards.
