ISP_ IS GRODIMAX

If you hear one of your
teenagers speak of a peer as
being MAXITUBE you can
relax. He’s not muttering a
disgusted obscenity, he’s
paying a high compliment.

e€ maxi comes, I suppose,
from maximum or greatest.
The tube part is a shortening
of tubular, which, for some
inexplicable reason is also a
complimentary label.

It is the opposite (as any
ordinary genius would guess)
to GRODIMAX. It need
hardly be explained that
grodi derives from gross,
which- natch-is a real bum-
mer. Are you with me? You
ARE? Then perhaps you're
ready for a new word that I
have coined. Read on.

Whether you are reading
with or without baited
breath, I give you my new
word, free of charge and
with no obligation. The word
is ISP. You may use it at
will. “But”, you may well ask,
“Pray, what does it mean?”
Well, I'm going to tell you.
It's a catchy word isn’t it?
Sounds a bit like ESP.

If you are extraordinarily
equipped with ISP, you are
in a grodimax situation. If

you are relatively free of ISP
then you must feel maxitube.
Enough of this! I'll tell you
what it means. ISP stands for
Inner Space Pollution.
When we have a lot of inner
space pollution, it is quite
likely that we feel aware of
dis-ease. ISP doesn't make
you feel good about yourself
or others, or life in general.
Fortunately, we know
about a lot of the stuff that
produces ISP. And, just as
fortunately, we have learned

_ that we can choose to reduce

it to powerlessness. We can
choose to allow a purifica-
tion of our inner space by
seeing ourselves as we are
and respecting any inner
changes we want to see hap-
pen.

Some of the most common
ingredients that contribute
to ISP are these: dishonesty,
pride, malice, denial of
potential, exclusiveness, ad-
dictions, a dinky view of
humanity, labelling yourself
as a victim, or a
manipulator, or a bigot, or a
censor or a punisher. One of
the things that clouds and
muddies your inner space
with a paralizing sort of
pollution is assuming a false
identity (pretending you are
someone other then YOU).

If any of the above, or
others you are aware of, are
sullying your inward person,
you are free to walk away
from them. You are in
charge here. All it takes is
wanting to, choosing to, and
