I spent the Labour Day
weekend exploring the old
forest roads between the
First Lookoff of the Cypress
Bowl Road and the base of
District Lot 1123. I have
mever once met a_ single
person hiking there.

If the District of West
Vancouver really wants the
public to use that terrain
there is one way this can be
accomplished: construct the
legal road, (Rodgers Road)
now containing only a low-
power transmission line,
which starts in the main
parking lot of the Second
Lookoff and = which = runs
across the contour to
Craigmont Dnve in Britush
Properties

Along the route, of
course, there should = be
parking There 1s a suitable
spot near Rodgers Creek

which would service not only
day-trippers but also the
owners of housing lots at the
base of DL 1123. Without
such access, the general
public will not make use of
this terrain for park pur-
poses, as my Labour Day
labour clearly proves.

If the District of West
Vancouver really wants
Lower Hollyburn Hill (i.e.,
the portion below the
Provincial Park) to be
parkland, then all private
