gardens considered the most significant in the past 250 years, from the
landscape style of the 1730s to the cottage style of this century.

Your host ts Rion Rule, an award-winning landscape architect, who has
taught courses on English Garden Histery at U.B.C. and will provide
instruction on the history and horticulture of gardens to be visited. {n-
chided are Stourhead, Rousham Park. Gravetye Manor, Hidcote, Siss-
inghurst, Great Dixter, and Bamsley House, and also calling on their
skilled caretakers, You will meet some of England's mest Influential
gardeners, among whom are Andrew Norton, plus gardening writers
Rosemary Verey and Penelope Hobhouse. Deluxe accommodations and
