a member of the Christian and
Missionary Alliance, will be
hosting the organization’s annual
missionary’ conference in early
February. © :

The public is invited to par-
ticipate in the conference and will
have an opportunity to hear mis-
sionaries from Columbia and Irian
Jaya, as well as a missionary-ap-
pointee,.headed for Peru. The
Christian and Missionary Alliance
has over 11°hundred missionaries
working in 51 countries.

Rev. Harold Catto, veteran mis-
sionary to Irian Jaya, will speak at
both the 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. ser-
vices on Sunday, Feb. 1. Rev.
David Peters of Colombia will be
present from. Thursday to Sunday,
Feb. 5 to 8, and Daryl Wright will
participate from Thursday to
Saturday, | Feb. S5to7.

Inchided in the conference will
be a’ missionary banquet,
childrén’s. conference, . ladies’
meetiiig, youth special and men’s
breakfast.

The North Shore Alliance
Church is currently constructing a
new church building. Sunday ser-
vices on Feb. 1 and 8 will therefore
take place at 11 a.m. and 7. p.m. at
the North Vancouver . Recreation

graced by the exhibition of 25
watercolors by Kathleen
_McEachern, a Maple Ridge artist
i and member of the Federation of
Canadian Artists.

“of a small gallery, has been study-
ing art and painting in many media
for the past 12 years. Ske is now
concentrating on watercolors and
. exploring ways to express the
fragility of flowers, the quiet ways
of children, the misty coast of
British Columbia, the vibrant col-
ors and powerful surf of the
windward Hawaiian island of
Oahu.

The exhibition is sponsored by
the North Vancouver Community
Arts Council and may be viewed at
the. courthouse, 200 East 23rd St.,
from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m.

The exhibition runs to Feb. 18.
