And indeed she was. The North Vancouver woman held the jackpot
ticket in Saturday's Lotto 6/49. On Monday she cashed in one of the
nine totto tickets she purchased for the draw and was $1,114,002.40
richer. Rogers said she plans to share the wealth with her family, seen

A NORTH Vancouver resident
received one of 55 awards an-
nounced for September under the
Criminal Injury Compensation
Act.

While on board a ship docked in
a harbor, a 17-year-old North
Vancouver wo:nan was attacked,
struck: and slashed in the face by
two female assailants who wielded
a broken bottle.

She suffered lacerations to her
face, left ankle and left hand. She
was awarded $1,950,

Realtors help beautify WV

THE WEST Vancouver division of
the Greater Vancouver Realtors’
Association plan to help improve
the district’s seawalk as part of its
ongoing Beautification program.

The division, with funding from
individual members, has supported
the program since 1975.

Past projects by the group in-
clude the flowerbeds at the en-
trance of Park Royal shopping
mall, totem poles in Horseshoe
Bay, benches and planters at the
Aquatic Centre, an illuminated
map at the top of Taylor Way,
flagpoles in front of the Senior
