When Yip asked council if the municipality. would bear the cost of any traffic study undertaken by his group Mayor Marilyn Baker an- nounced council had decided in an in-camera meeting not to undertake a traffic study. But Ald. Joan Gadsby said a traffic study should be done. Gadsby said consul- tants had earlier identified parking as a significant pro- blem and the problem should have been assessed and critiqued. But Gadsby said this had’ not been done and she calied for a study. Council deferred a motion to:endorse the initial part of the plan and to:give the go- drawings. Council |has’ been in two waterfront parks. To round out the Deep Cove discussion, resident William Blakely asked coun- cil where the district would find $1.5 to $1.7 million to finance the proposals in the plan.
