was sure. If she said she was,
then that would be that. She
would leave.”’

told their parents, admitting
only that he had told her not
to tell them because he knew
what he was doing was
wrong.

Asked if he was concerned
about his sister at the time of
the assaults, the elder
brother said he was. Asked
how he showed that concern
for her, he replied ‘‘I don’t
know.”

The hearing is scheduled
to conclude today.
