Just about every man at
one time or another dreams
of owning an exotic car. But
no one wants to lose his
money. Is it possible to buy a
special interest or exotic car
that can make money for
you?

The North Shore News
spoke to well-known tax
consultant, David Ingram
about Cars as an investment.
Over the years, David has
owned dozens of cars, many
of them rare or special in-
terest.

The apprehension many
women feel about
automobile service, coupled
with repair costs, are
drawing women in droves to
car-care clinics to learn
more about how their cars
work.

An industry study ‘has
“found more women than
ever before are responsible
for the repair and main-
‘tenance of their own
“vehicles. The study shows
over 47 percent of women
'.now decide when their car
needs servicing and in 40
percent of these cases they
‘alone decide where to take
.the car for maintenance or
repair work.

Car-care’ clinics for
women are sponsored by car
manufacturers, tire Ccom-
_ panies, parts manufacturers,
“ dealerships and repair shops.
_. They usually are free. "

In addition, “powder. putt”
mechanical classes are
taught at many community

colleges, through school
district adult education
programs and at some
YMCA's.

say.
’’ Any car you buy is an

_investment. After all, you

are. tying up several
thousands of dollars. Certain
cars do hold their value
more than others. We will
hold our discussion to cars
which the average person
would consider buying.

Extremely rare cars like
the Bugatti, the Cord, or
Auburn are so far priced
above what most people can
afford, we need not consider
them.
