Man jailed for assauli A 29-year-old North Vancouver man was recently jailed nine months for hit- ting a man with a piece of wood at a Lower Lonsdale construction site on July 30. Daniel John Kuiper was found guilty of assault caus- ing bodily harm of a man at a 5th Street and Chesterfield Avenue con- struction site. According to the North Vancouver RCMP, Kuiper went to the construction site secking employment. An argument progressed to a fist fight and the use of the piece of wood, said police. A punjabi interpreter was required for court proceed- ings. Kuiper had previous assault convictions.
