New route added to ferry

A NEW summer connection
between Vancouver Island,
“Horseshoe Bay, and the
Sunshine Coast has been
announced by B.C. Ferries.

The triangle-run between
Nanaimo-Horseshoc _ Bay-
Langdale will sail once or twice a
day from June 22 to Sept. 4. Also,
late-night sailings from Horseshoe
Bay to Langdale will return — 10

p.m. on ‘Thursdays and Mondays
and 11 pam. on Fridays and
Sundays.

The Mid-Island Express contin-
ues to operate eight-round trips
daily between Tsawwassen and
Nanaimo and three ships return
this summer between Horseshoe
Bay and Nanaimo.

The ferry corporation has pre-
dicted that the summer of 1995
will be its busiest ever, with expec-
tations of 5.7 million passengers
and upwards of two million vehi-
cles travelling via the popular ser-
vice.
