A total of 24 students from Poiyvalente Beauport, just outside of Quebec City, recently arrived in North Vancouver to begin a bilingual exchange program with Argyle Secondary School students.The program, sponsored by the Toronto YMCA, will include 24 Argyle students, who will act as hosts for the Quebec students.The students will spend a week improving their fluency in Canada's official second tanguage and getting to know something about the historical, economic, aspects of life in the Vancouver area. la_ Seigneurie school in environmental and social needed to campaign for cancer society JOHN POZER will be acting as the honorary chairman for the West Vancouver unit of the Ca- nadian Cancer Society during April, which is cancer month. Next month, canvassers will be appealing to residents across the North Shore to contribute to the cancer society’s Together We Can Beat lt campaign. Voiunteers are still needed to help with the canvassing, says Jim iMasNaughton of the West Van- couver unit. Once again the society will also be holding its popular daffodil days on March 22-23. Daffodils will be given in exchange for con- tributions to the cancer society in Park Royal (both sides), Lynn Valley Centre and Capilano Mail.
