Home buyers over the age of 50 purchased 21 per cent of all homes sold here last. year. By comparison, home buyers over 50 years of age in Canada represented 16 per cent of the marketp- lace in 1987. ® The baby boom genera- tion (defined in the study as those under 40 years old) is still a driving force in the residential real estate market in Vancouver.
