motorcyclists and the
general public is being
planned for Sunday, Sep-

tember 13, 1981, when the
B.C. Motorcycle Federation
(BCMPF) in cooperation with
the B.C. Safety Council, the
Greater Vancouver
Motorcycle Club, The Blue
Knights Motorcycle Club,
and the West Coast Touring
Club hold the 4th Annual
Motorcycle Jamboree at the
Professional Driver Centre.

Bay Airport.

The jamborbee is
designed to promote kinship
among motorcyclists and to
generate an awareness of
motorcycling to the non-
riding public. Motorcyclists
with licenced motorcycles
will be able to participate in
10 low-speed riding events,
combining fun with a
challenge of riding skills.
Trophies will be awarded to
top riders, male and female
n over and under 550 cc
classes, the Quietest Bike,
the Club Challenge Event,
and a Media Challenge
Event.

Other activities will in-
clude riding demonstrations,
an antique motorcycle
display and information
booths. Throughout the day
free motorcycle sound tests
will be given by the
G.V.M.C. The B.C. Safety
Council will give free Skill
Evaluations to motorcyclists

The jamboree is a charity
event, with admission to the
grounds by donations and
proceeds going to the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation, and the
“Terry Fox Day” Cancer
Fund. Registration will open
at 9:00 a.m., with the events
starting at 9:30 a.m. and
running to 4:30 p.m.

The B.C. Motorcycle
Federation is a non-profit
organization with an office
at the Professional Driver
Centre in Delta. The
Federation was established
by and for motorcyclists to

represent them to local,
regional and provincial
governments and _ their

agencies in all aspects of
motorcycling. There are
four classes of membership -
Class I Wholesale Industry,
Class II Retail Industry,
Class 111 Clubs = and
Associations, and Class IV
Individual Members.

The jamboree is one of
two major events held each
year by the BCMF. The
Federation also co-hosts the
