NVC funds adult ere

THE City of North
Vancouver will provide
$15,000 to hire adult
crossing guards so chil-
dren can safely cross at
six intersections for the
rest of 1997.

The funding is in addition
to $42,000 the city has already
spent on adult crossing guards
in 1997,

Council passed the resolu-
tion 4-2 on Monday.
Councillors Stelta Jo Dean and
Bob Fearnley voted against the
motion. Coun, Barbara
Perrault was absent.
