Vaughn. The singer specializes in cool blue
jazz the way it's meant to he heard. With a
strong stage presence and a breezy voice,
Hammett-Vaughn's inspirations are broad ~
Sarah Vaughan, Cleo Laine, Billie Holiday
and Abbey Lincoln to name a few.

The jazz vocalist described by one local jazz
critic as "TNT wrapped in silk stockings"
covers the tuneful territory. of composers
Rogers and Hart, Cole Porter and an eclectic
many others.

Hammett- Vaughn swings and is quite simply
one of the most exciting best young jazz
vocalists in the country today.

On alternate weekends, Vancouver jazz
vocalist Jennifer Scott takes the stage at
Peppi's. Scott's precise vocal style draws for
inspiration upon the work of Shirley Hom,
Dinah Washington and Elis Regina.
