If you have a more ambitious plan for your home this summer, Swankey’s second course, entitled Renovating Your Home (HI30), may save you money. An experi- enced architectural designer, Swankey will share his knowledge of contract preparation, required documents, construction regula- tions and how to plan to get the best return on your investment. In addition, you will be able to bring your own plans to class to discuss design ideas. This class will also run on two Thursday evenings at Carson Graham, April 30 aad May 7. A series of one-evening classes by Robert Patterson will offer homeowners or builders eight specialty classes on home repair survival skills. All the classes are Bradner show focuses on daffodils Over 400 different blooms on display April 17-19 THE THEME of this year’s Bradner Flower Show will be ‘‘Matsqui’s Centennial,’’ and the opening will be of- ficiated by the mayer of Matsqui, Dave Kandall. The opening will be on Satur- day, Apr. 18 at 2 p.m. As always, the focus will be on the many varieties of daffodils grown in che Bradner area — some 400 different blooms will be GIVE YOUR BAR! on display. Also highlighted will be displays from other growers, including or- chids and geraniums. Bradner is easily reached from all directions and signs are posted on all routes. Admission is still only $1 and the tea room will be well stocked with sandwiches, cakes and other goodies, all made by community volunteers. Volunteers also serve supper Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. All of the proceeds from the show go towards local community projects.
