Reed, an exceptional Grade 12 graduate from Windsor Secondary School, is being hosted by Rotary members in Finland and is pres- ently attending school there and experiencing Finnish culture. On her return next year she will enrol in Carleton University, majoring in Political Science. In the meantime, the North Shore Rotary Club is hosting Rob Music lessons offered in WY TWO ORFF/KODALY music programs for preschool-aged children are being offered at Eagle Harbour Community Centre. To accommodate parents with children in morning kindergarten or preschool, afternoon sessions, starting Oct. 17 and going through to Dec. 12, will run from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. for beginners of four years of age; 2:15 to 3 p.m. for students with experience in Orff (four/five years of age); 3:15 to 4 p.m. for the recorder class for stu- dents in grades one and two. Instructor Keith Bennett has ex- tensive experience in instruction of children, teaching guitar, bass and voice. . Morning classes will be con- ducted by Orff specialist Ross Curran. Curran has dealt in the in- struction of the Orff/Kodaly method for many years. His classes will be held Tuesday mornings from Oct. 11 to Dec. 6 at the fol- lowing times: 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. for beginners aged four years; 10:15 to 11 a.m. for four and five year olds; {1 to {{:45 a.m. for kindergarten students.
