Having been a patron of both
the West Van and North Van
libraries, I wish someene would
explain to me why going from the
West Van to the North Van library
is about equivalent to going from
the palace of Versailles to a run-
down second-hand store.

The 1988 annual water rate notices have now been mailed. Any
property owner.who has not received a water notice should im-
mediately. contact the Tax Office at the District of North Van-
couver (phone 987-7131).

New Owners should be aware of their responsibility for payment
of the 1988 water charges and should ensure that they are paid
by themselves or the previous owner.

Discount: A 10% discount is allowed on the annual water rates _
charge if payment is received in the Municipal Hall on or before
February 29, 1988.

Penalties: A 5% penalty will be added to outstanding water
charges on July 4, 1988. A further 5% penaity will be added to
water charges remaining unpaid after September 2, 1988.

Payment must be received in the Municipal Hall on or betore
the above dates to qualify for the discount or to avoid penalties.
