WV deputy administrator named

Firefighters honored

B.C. Lt.-Gov. the Honorable Robert Rogers presented the Fire Services
Exemplary Service medal to 40° men from the three North Shore fire
departments in a ceremony Tuesday at the Capilano Golf and Country
Cluh, This was the first such presentation of this medal to fice depart-
ment personnel on the North Shore. Her Majesty the Queen created the
medal in August, 1985 in recognition of exemplary service in ihe fire
departments.

Assistant Chief ©. Reda, Captains R. Christie, 1H. Kean, RK. Terrilion, R. Trim., C. Wade —

chief 1. Chutes and G. Stibbard, Captains J. Hastings, W. Vanderkley, J, Taylor, A. Smith
und LL. Tracy and firefighters KR. Davis and W. Clark. Recipients of the medal from NVCED
for MW) scars service were retired Fire Chief Ro Meldrum and Fire Chief D. Cairns, For 20 seaes
service the recipients were Deputy Chief T. Cumming, Assistant Chiefs L. Backer and F.
LeGros, Captains G. Bjarasson, V. Merrill, J. Roberts, KR. MeCuires, Licutecunts B. Seed, NS.
Kullock and T. Lidstone, From WY DED for 30 years service the recipients were Deputy Chief
G. McDowell, Assistant Chief A. Sidicy, Distrie( Chief 4. Galstead, Captains F. ttoliauts and
J. Callegari, For 20 years service the recipients were Fire Chief C. Evans, Assistam Chief 6,
Hott, District Chicl B. Weeks, Captains G. Sheils, “V. Fleming, J. Chisholm, G. Pedersen, &.
Butler, W. Gibbs, G. Hacsington and N. MacLeod.
