example, the new 4-cylinder Phoenix,
with automatic transmission, will accel-
erate from 0 to 100 KPH as quickly as
its comparably-equipped ’79 6-cylinder
predecessor.

Standard for 1980 is a 2.5 litre
4-cylinder engine with floor-mounted .
4-speed manual transmission. A 2.8
litre V6 and automatic transmission
are Opuonal. -

1980 Phoenix arrives two distinct
ways: as a stylishly formal 2-door
Coupe and a stylishly functional 5-door
Hatchback Sedan, both with luxury
L] versions. The Coupe and the Hatch
back Sedan have a sporty S] package
available.

The 5-door Hatchback Sedan
offers an optional “secunty panel”
which is standard on the L] Hatchback.
