Contest open to local writers THE NORTH Shore Writer's Association (NSWA) is looking for a few good writers. As part of their commit- ment (o the community, the NSWA is holding its sec- ond annual literacy contest. Each entry must include a link to the North Shore community and can fall into one of three cate- gories: essay, — short story/novel excerpt and poetry. Maximum length is 2,000 words. or in the case of poetry, three poems per entry. First prize in each cate- gory is a new copy of the Writer’s Marker, while sec~ ond place finishers will pick up a $10 gift certifi- cate to North Shore Books.
