Park Royalis working in conjunction with the COHO FESTIVAL SOCIETY to host the annual contest for selecting the B.C. artist who's salmon artwork will be featured on this year's Federal Saltwater Fishing Licence. Typically, the cantest has been judged behind closed doors but this year the. organization which sponsors the contest, The Pacific Salmon Foundation has agreed to exhibit the entrants’ work beginning cn Saturday, September 3rdandalso, to Judge the final winner ina publicforum. The actual judging wilibe done on Tuesday, September 6th, with the winning entrant to be announced ata dinner reception that evening. Club Royal has beena long term ‘pet’ project of Park Royal's Marketing Director, Renna McCready who wanted to finda meaningful way to say te each and every Park Royal customer “thanks for your business.” After 12 months ofpolling _ Park Royal customersand considering allof their suggestions, “we were ableto successfully launch the program on April 27th. Today, Club Royal has more than 4,000 participating members", says McCready. In addition to the art work being replicated onthe fishing licence, the winning artist will aiso receive acash prize of $7,000!
